History
and Pictures
Graduated from
Clarion in 1969. { double major- elem. ed. and English lit. }
Taught 30 years
in Massillon, OH. Retired in 1999. Because I had 6 eye operations
my parents never allowed me to pursue sports. When I retired, I
fulfilled a dream. Baseball was always my favorite sport. I went
to fantasy camp 2 years in a row. As a left-handed pitcher I was
able to go 2 wins and 0 losses. win some awards and get written
up in the Post-Gazette. I had Vernon Law, Hal Smith, Dave Guisti
and Jose Pagan as managers. Lots of great stories about that experience
After my one
and a half year retirement I walked into our local theater and told
them I'd like to be a projectionist. That's what I've been doing
for the last five and a half years. I run 15 projectors by myself,
get paid to watch movies and read books while the movies are running.
I average reading over 80 books a year.
In the summer
I take high school students on 3 week trips around the world. I've
been to Australia [5 times], New Zealand [2 times], England, Ireland,
Scotland and Wales [3 times], Spain, France, Andorra, Monaco, Italy
and Belize. I've had my birthday { July 3 } out of the U.S.A. the
last 10 years. My trip this summer begins in London, then on to
Belguim, Netherlands, Paris, Germany and ending in Switzerland.
The photos that
I sent so far were taken last year when I was in Australia (Northern
Territories) at Ayers Rock and Alice Springs.
