History
and Pictures
Dennis and I
will celebrate our 39th anniversary this year. We are big on family,
and most of our fun comes from spending time with them, both our
immediate and our extended family.
We have lived
in Oakdale for 34 years and have made the renovation of an old Victorian
house both our challenge and our pastime. There were times when
we felt like Ma and Ma Kettle but now we have our heart and soul
in this big old place and it will be tough to leave it, even though
we are rattling around in it now that our kids are grown.
Dennis retired
from his law practice about 5 years ago and I retired from my IT
position at Bayer this past year. I attended Duquesne University
to enable me to take a managerial position at Bayer in the Information
Systems department and ended up with one big challenging position
of implementing the global IT support desk for the SAP implementation
for Bayer. It was so much of a challenge that, once it was done,
I decided to retire and leave the next phase to the younger folks.
Now we're both looking forward to more traveling for pleasure rather
than business.
We went on our
first trip out west last fall with my sisters and their husbands
and had a fantastic time.
Can't wait to
see all of you! Hope you are all happy and healthy and looking forward
to some down time and fun after years of work. Me, I'm looking forward
to the birth of our next grandchild in a very short time....next
week to be exact and that gives me more pleasure than anything else.
